  • Kristine Beaupré (Thrive Chair)

    Board member since September 2011.

    Kristine is the Chief Financial Officer for The Pioneer Group Inc., a Burlington based family enterprise with entrepreneurial ventures across Ontario. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner and has over 25 years of financial management experience.

    Sheila Penney (Thrive Vice Chair)

    Board member since September 2013.

    Sheila has a Masters degree in Social Work and is a manager with The Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, where she has worked in various positions over the past twenty years.

    "Work in the field of child welfare causes one to pause and appreciate the strength and resiliency in children and families and the importance of strong working partnerships. Thrive has been an amazing partner in the healing process for so many children and families."

     

    Beverly Bronte-Tinkew (Thrive Secretary)

    Pam Nielsen (Thrive Treasurer)

    Board member since September 2017.

     

     

    David Hoy (Thrive Past Chair)

    Board member since June 2009.

    David is the Manager of Social Work Services at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. As such he is actively involved in in promotion of mental health and wellbeing of children and youth in Hamilton.

    Trevor Allen (Thrive Director)

    Board member since September 2017.

    Trevor is the Service Director at the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton where he has worked for the past 15 years.

    "In my role as Service Director at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton, I understand the important service that Thrive provides in the community. Children and youth experiencing trauma require the expert treatment that Thrive provides to promote healing, healthy development and stronger communities."

     

    Mark Daly (Thrive Director)

    Board member since September 2017.

    Mark is the Principal of Cathedral Highschool in Hamilton.

    "I am the Principal of Cathedral High School. I am very pleased to serve on the Board of Thrive and support the great work that they do for the citizens of our great community."

     

    Dave Dunbar (Thrive Director)

    Board member since September 2015.

    Dave is the current Detective Sergeant in charge of the Child Abuse Unit and Crimes Against Seniors within the Hamilton Police Service. His office is responsible for investigating all reported incidents of child (and senior) abuse, neglect and maltreatment.
    Dave has been a police officer for 28 years and has supervised in a variety of investigative roles and specialized units created specifically to respond to issues of violence and the victimization of women, children and seniors.

As a father and strong victim advocate, I am very proud to be part of an organization that focuses on improving and empowering the lives of innocent children who survive sexual violence.”

     

    Brenda Hamilton (Thrive Director)

    Board member since December 2014.

    Brenda is currently serving as an elementary school principal with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. She is in her 16th year as a school administrator and 37th year as an educator.

    "In my many years of experience building relationships among home, school and parish for the sake of children, I am privileged to serve on the board of Thrive to continue to support children and their families to reach their fullest potential and achieve their goals".
