Across Ontario, communities are marking Children's Mental Health Week - an important reminder that 1 in 5 children and youth in this province have a mental health problem. The week is also intended to raise awareness about the range of mental health issues challenging our youngest citizens, and what is needed in order to ensure they can deal with these issues successfully. The Community Child Abuse Council joins with our community and all caring communities across Ontario in promoting this much-needed awareness effort. We know firsthand that the right intervention at the right time can help children and youth to heal, move forward, and thrive. Together with our community partners, we are working to make sure that happens for as many young people as possible. Please support children's mental health projects and programs in your community and invest in thriving futures. With your help, we can be there for all children and youth who need this support.
