Programs & Services
Everything we do at the Council is about kids and building healthier and safer communities. Since 1982, the Council has focused on providing counseling and support services to child and youth victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending parents/families as well as prevention programs and educational resources aimed at keeping kids safe.
Today the Council is the only organization in Hamilton whose services and programs centre exclusively on helping children and youth who have been sexually victimized and providing support to their non-offending parents/caregivers and families. We also offer a unique mental health counseling program for immigrant and refugee children and youth experiencing trauma or abuse, and their families (OASIS Program). We do all this through our highly specialized trauma and abuse assessment, intervention and treatment programs, through prevention and community-based education initiatives, and through the delivery of professional Training And Consultation services available to other professionals in this and related fields.
