We believe thriving children create thriving communities. To that end, we focus on a community-wide response to childhood trauma that combines excellence in treatment, state-of-the-art education, and community oriented prevention initiatives aimed at reducing the incidence and impact of child maltreatment and promoting the safe and healthy development of children.

A generous supporting grant in the amount of $10,000 was received from the Pioneer Energy Foundation in support of our trauma treatment programs. Pioneer Energy has a history of charitable giving in our community and is a valued philanthropic leader. Special thanks to David MacFarlane and Murray Hogarth for their efforts in support of children's charities in Ontario. We are also grateful for a $20,000 supporting grant provided by the Losani Family Foundation Fund. The Losani family has a longstanding tradition of generous charitable contributions supporting families, children, health and the Hamilton community. The Council has also received a $10,000 grant from the Edith H. Turner Foundation Fund, and a $7,000 grant from the Lillian & Marvin Goldblatt Family Fund. These four funds are all administered by the Hamilton Community Foundation. We are extremely grateful for the support of the Hamilton Community Foundation, including a grant of $10,000 from their Immediate Response Fund to address capacity pressures in our work with those affected by intra-familial sexual abuse.

We also recognize and thank the CHML Y108 Children's Fund for their continued support of the Council. We are grateful for their donation of $8,000 in support of our treatment programs and we commend the ongoing efforts of the CHML Children's Fund in support of the vulnerable children in our community.

Special thanks also go to Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore for supporting our trauma treatment programs with a $4,000 donation, and a heartfelt "thank you" to Fortinos Supermarket Ltd. and Loblaws Inc. for supporting our children's snack program, providing healthy snacks for children participating in our treatment programs.

And a warm thank you to the following donors who helped us to support the children and families we serve over the Christmas and winter season. Their much-appreciated kindness and generosity allowed us to provide a little extra to those in need:
